Get to know your people

·

,

We all want to be known and seen by the people around us. Having a leader who knows your strengths and ways of working is the best way to make sure your work plays to your strengths.

As a first time leader, go for a walk or grab a coffee with your team members. Possible questions to ask:

  • How can we make better use of your skills?
  • When have your colleagues or friends seen you at your best?
  • What would you like to achieve here?
  • What are the obstacles to reaching your goals?
  • How can I be of help to you?
